Beirut

It looks like I'm behind the times by only discovering Beirut now, but better late than never!

It seems that Beirut is mainly one guy (the singer) plus a band. The musical genre on Wikipedia is listed as "Balkan folk", isn't that deadly? They are from America, and on their myspace page the 'Sounds Like' section reads: "Coney Island, Jewish immigrants, The old world". Makes me want to be Jewish! *insert clichéd Yiddish-sounding-words here*.
