No Love

Last weekend we were chatting about the recent Eminem album. I don't know what I think about it because I think Eminem really shows his rapping skills on it - and he's pretty amazing - but a lot his lyrics are naff, especially his 'word play'.

Take that crappy song Not Afraid, which I know particularly well because it was so overplayed. Here are some of his gems:

"Like a 'fuck you' for christmas, his gift is a curse"
"Ok quit playin' with the scissors and shit, and cut the crap"
"But it's time to exercise these demons, these motherfuckers are doing jumping jacks now!"
"Haters can make like bees with no stingers, and drop dead"
"... lift the whole liquor counter up, Cause I'm raising the bar"

All pretty lame. I say, if you're going to do some word-play just keep it simple like Lil' Wayne does:

"Put a dick in their mouth, so I guess it's 'fuck what they say'"

This is my favourite song on the album, I meant to post it ages ago but I've just seen that it's going to be the next single so I figured I better get it posted asap!
