One time while over at Manuel's house I heard an awesome playlist from his iPod on the stereo, and he told me about a torrent called '500 of the Greatest Hip-Hop Songs'. I downloaded it but then totally forgot about it. The torrent has a ton old-school hip hop in it, and obviously most it wouldn't have been well-known over here while we were growing up. My plan is to hopefully get through more of those songs over the next while, and I'll share the best on here.
So first is Souls of Mischief. I think this song is famous but unfortunately I was unaware of it until recently. I just read that the triple-eyed smiley face (as above, and from the cover of a Souls Of Mischief album) became a really popular graffiti tag in the 1990s. I wonder was it ever used by the notorious Ed Kavanagh during his wild years?
